This location has been around for years...at all costs avoid all the locations that have popped up last 2 years, they are all horrible and the service sucks ...it is worth the drive to lake st location to get fresh hot chicken....good service, and the chicken hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for hours....

Horrible front end service, would've helped could she understand and at least try and help me out. "Hi, I've never been to Popeyes before, what's a good deal for lunch?" Nothing , like she couldn't speak!! It was an awful experience trying to order . Get my order o go after arguing with her, THEY SCREWED UP MY ORDER!!!  I don't eat chicken on he bone!! And then I got four pieces instead of five!! Not happy!!
Can't even call the place to complain as their "mailbox is full, please hang up!" Damn pissed off, this was my lunch!

I absolutely love the food at Popeye's. Hands down, they got it going on. But one area they truly lack in is customer service, especially at this location on Lake St.

On June 6, 2018 a colleague was going to Popeye's for lunch and I asked her to pick me the $5 combo. Even though she ordered it mild, and the receipt states mild, it came back spicy.

Immediately I picked up the phone to call them and it goes to voice mail. I called a total of four times that afternoon to call and got the same results. The next day I called the Headquarters in New Orleans @ 877-767-3937. I briefly explained the situation ... all I wanted was a replacement or refund. Simple. Not. The friendly lady took all my information and said that someone may call me back. May? She went on to say that I should just go back into the store and the manager would make it right.

A few days later, and another trip to Popeye's, and still no results. The manager refused to accept my receipt or explanation, indicating there was nothing in the system indicating I was due a replacement. Policy states to return your item to the store.

While I can understand their reasoning, not always is it possible to return the same day with your incorrect order. Life doesn't always happen so perfectly. While I did everything humanly possible to report my claim, I still was left without my meal or replacement. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I cannot eat spicy food. My order was placed correctly, paid for , and then received incorrectly. Where does their sense of honor stand?

While you may have a great product, along with it should include some sense of customer service. Put yourself in your customers shoes. So if a colleague picks up lunch for the office, it better be right or too damn bad? Are they supposed to take a bite out of everyone's chicken to make sure it's spicy or not? How else would they know the order was incorrect?Popeye's should claim a little responsibility here rather than hide behind a "policy".

I still have not even received a call back from headquarters. What a poor way to do business ... and all in the name of $5!!!

Food was good, but service was horrible. I had to read off my order about a dozen times, and they still got the order wrong. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it was their intercom, but when I went inside communication in person didn't go any better. Felt like I was talking to Leeloo from the movie 5th element, but instead of saying multipass they said 5 piece chicken over and over. One of the most frustrating conversation I have ever had. Frustrating enough that I posted on yelp and probably won't be going back.

You might be staring at the confused - "Fast food? 5 Stars?". Why time to end your confusion. Popeyes gets 5 stars in my book for being the best fast food around.

Their chicken is delicious. You never take a bite then after question yourself if it is really chicken breast meat or a wing. IT IS! And it will make you happy.

The sides are dope and the variety of choices allows for a different experience every time.

Ditch your love affair with KFC. Popeyes is King.
